Studies on biomass estimation are under the context of Reducing Emission from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) as a mitigation mechanism for climate change which required the reliable estimation of biomass & carbon. In fact, in tropical ecosystem, carbon pools are aboveground biomass (stand trees, herbaceous), belowground biomass, litter, dead wood and soil biomass; and different approach are require in function of the carbon pool considered. This biomass could be estimated by destructive (direct measurement on the field) or non-destructive (used indirect approach like: allometric equation, SIG, root-shot ratio, etc.) method.
